How to Apply for Lincoln Military Family PPV Housing
All officers and enlisted personnel with accompanying dependents are eligible to apply! However, PPV homes are limited and must be applied for at the Military Housing
Welcome Center, 2625 Le Hardy Street, Bldg. 3544, San Diego, CA 92136.
Qualification for Military Family Housing
Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, United States Coast Guard and National Guard members are eligible.
In order to apply, you are required to have the following:
- DD Form 1746 (Application for Assignment to Housing).
- A copy of orders showing your detachment dates.
- Certification of bona fide family members. Examples of acceptable forms of documentation are the US Navy Record of Emergency Data application (Page 2), US Marine Corps Record of Emergency Data (RED), or US Army & US Air Force DD Form 93.

Residents may not keep or permit the following dog breeds in or on the premises: Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Presa Canarios, Pit Bulls (American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier), Rottweilers, any Wolf Hybrid, or any mix of the aforementioned breeds.
**When a spouse signs a lease in the absence of a service member, he/she MUST have both a general POA and a special POA. The special POA must state: "The individual has the authority to start, change, or stop an allotment on behalf of the service member." This statement is required on the special POA, without it, alternative payment arrangements must be made. Please note that a DURABLE POA will not be accepted as a general power of attorney.**
Applications may be submitted by mail, fax or email. All enlisted service members are encouraged to apply for immediate housing.
Step 1
Submit the DD Form 1746 Housing Application, orders, and dependancy paperwork via email to web.housing@navy.mil, attention Navy Housing Application Team or by fax: (619) 556-8012.
Step 2
Contact the Navy Housing Phone Desk to confirm receipt and approval of all Navy Housing documents within 1 week of submission at (619) 556-9610; or DSN: 526-9610 or with Mae Gaoiran (619) 556-7322, Darnell Garcia (619) 556-0007, Juanita Johnson (619) 556-9703. DSN Prefix: 526.
Step 3
To begin the initial housing assignment process contact the Lincoln Help Desk six (6) weeks prior to your arrival at (619) 556-7667, or DSN: 526-7667,or swlincoln.housing@navy.mil .

If you would like to secure your new home address four (4) weeks prior to your arrival, contact the Lincoln Help Desk at (619) 556-7667, or DSN: 526-7667, or swlincoln.housing@navy.mil for property listings and locations that will be available upon your arrival in San Diego.
