Located in the Lahontan Valley of west central Nevada, the Desert Winds community lies 70 miles east of Reno at the Naval Air Station at Fallon.  The homes include two- to four-bedroom floor plans, and come unfurnished with washer/dryer hookups, air conditioning, heat and the very latest kitchen appliances.

This pet-friendly community welcomes two per household, either dogs or cats.

Neighborhood amenities include 9 tot-lots, an exchange that’s open seven days a week, and a fully equipped gym only a ½ mile from residences.  In addition, there’s an MWR located on base offering a host of recreational activities and programs, along with top rated K-12 schools in the outlying area.

Along with major shopping centers and chains such as Wal-Mart and Safeway, local attractions include Churchill County Parks, Uncle Bruce’s Skate Way with youth and inline roller hockey, and a full-sized community pool located in Churchill.
